It's been ten years since the first release of National Educational Technology Standards,
are you ready to support the digital age learners in your school?
This 6 hour Boot Camp (3 - 2 hr sessions) will get you up to speed with national standards and the Web 2.0 tools you can use to meet them! Join like minded educators ONLINE and grow your skills, your savvy and your Professional Learning Network without compromising an entire week of your summer! This session will move quickly, exposing you to an array of tools that align nicely with the NETS - each tool will be paired with a model implementation, best practices for instruction or samples of students' work. It is unlikely that all participants will be able to use all of the tools mentioned in their classrooms, but come experience online PD and take away a few new favorites to try with your students in 2010-2011!
This 2 day session will be held online using Elluminate.
Experience using Elluminate is not mandatory, however to get the most out of the session you will want to sign up for a free trial and be sure that your microphone and sound settings are working properly.
